In my work I move around the extent in which way visual identity and the alter ego can be shaped. I am doing research into this by making use of the human body, objects and fashion related to identity and as a collective system of unwritten rules. By covering up the human body I aim to find the tipping point between unrecognizability and anonymity.

In my work I am driven by the following questions; How can the transformation in visual identity be as big as possible without anonymizing someone? How can someone be unrecognizable but not anonymous? And is the physical body needed to display a visual alter ego?
This results in an imaginative universe of unpolished elements, primary colours and plastics. Her playful projects include garments, sculptures, masks, collages and form studies.

She is also co-founder of design collective Das Leben am Haverkamp. The collective Das Leben am Haverkamp is formed by four young fashion designers – Anouk van Klaveren, Christa van der Meer, Dewi Bekker and Gino Anthonisse. All the designers make individual works and present it collectively. Together they create the novel context necessary for their unrestricted way of working and thinking.
